SIT (Amsterdam, 1976)
Formerly known as Freakin Sitnie, bursted on the Amsterdam art scene some years ago with his paintings and graphics. Earlier being really inspired by comic artists like Simon Bisley, Sam Keith, Todd Mcfarlane, Jamie Hewlett and many more, he drawed most of his time with pencils and markers on peaces of paper. After these basics, at the age of 18, it was time to start on canvas with acrylics and paintbrush to give the work a much more powerfull impact. The bigger, the rougher, the better. Through the years learning a lot from the works of Mr.Jago, Glenn Barr, Blaine Fontana, Dran, Morcky, San, Banksy and many many more, he was doing his own exhibitions, live action painting, shoes, teez, graphic design and all other stuff until he got fed up.
Wanting to escape our ruthless 24/7 society of drugs, alcohol, money, deadlines, advertising, media and perfection, he went back to square one. Find his true essence. Back to head & handcraft. Back to basics. No more digital drama. No more wires. 'UNWIRED'. No BS. Only black and white. Right and wrong. Love and hate. Adore and despise.
